Same with India, heritage conservation is very much alive in Sri Lanka. Walking on the streets of Kandy I was introduced to rows of pre-war and post colonial buildings, crossing from one to another I would always pass by women in traditional garbs. The colors so vibrant makes the street scenes not only in Kandy, but in the many places I visited in Sri Lanka, look more lively and interesting to watch.
